Mother Olivia A. Williams is a licensed Evangelist in the Church of God in Christ, INC. She is
the youngest of five children born to the late Bishop Herbert J. Williams and Mother Iola Bruce
Williams.
Mother Williams was selected, elevated and appointed to the position of Jurisdictional
Supervisor Department of Women for her Jurisdiction in December, 2020 by the Presiding
Bishop and Chief Apostle, Eighth in Succession, Bishop J. Drew Sheard. She oversees the
women’s work in churches from Detroit to Benton Harbor, Michigan. She is a member of Jackson Memorial Temple Church of God in Christ, Flint, Michigan under the pastorate of Administrative Assistant Kiemba Knowlin.
Mother has been involved and served in every aspect of the church all her life.
She was educated in the Detroit Public Schools, Highland Park Public Schools, and Saginaw
City Public Schools, graduating in 1973. She matriculated through the University of Michigan
with a B.A. in Elementary Education and Psychology where she is a PROUD graduate. She
received her Master’s Degree in School Administration from Grand Valley State University in
Allendale, Michigan. After forty (40) years of teaching which was her true passion, she retired. During her educational career she became a “master teacher” and mentor to many, teaching with an emphasis on discipline and reading.
Serving on numerous local, state, and national committees during her tenure as an educator she
was involved in diverse activities and projects. She was also heavily involved in Union work
where she held the positions of Secretary and Union Vice President in Saginaw MI.

she LOVES who God made her to be, “A PROUD BLACK WOMAN”.
Lastly and most importantly, she knows that she has been blessed to be a blessing to others and
the body of Christ.
She is save, sanctified, happily single and SATISFIED.
Her favorite scripture is … “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, lean not to thy own
understanding, In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path”. Proverbs 3:5-6
